The Settings page holds the global options for your document libraries. Go to Impostazioni in the left menu, choose a tab, then click Salva at the bottom of the tab.
These options set up your main library, which lists all of your documents. They also become the starting values for each library you build afterwards. If you build additional libraries in the Library Builder, they keep their own layout, columns, links and controls, so changing these options does not affect them.
There are seven tabs: General, Display, Cerca, Branding, Library Design, Translations e Advanced.
General tab
Site settings
- Site title - The name of your document library, shown in your dashboard and on your library website.
- Timezone - Used for scheduling and document expiry dates.
- Library language - Choose English, Nederlands, Deutsch, Français, Italiano or Español. This sets the language of your dashboard, your libraries and the emails sent to you. The page reloads after you save. See tradurre la tua libreria di documenti to use a language which is not listed.
- Formato data - How dates appear next to your documents. For example, F j, Y shows September 12, 2026. See displaying dates in the document library.
Controllo versioni
Solo piano Advanced
- Enable - Keeps a history of the files behind each document as you replace them.
- Replacing files - Choose whether to keep the original file in your file library when you replace it, or delete the old version. Keeping it is the default, and it is what gives you a version history. See controllo versioni documenti.
Front end document submission
These options control how the submission form behaves. The form itself is switched on the Publish Library page, not here. See accettare gli invii di documenti dai visitatori.
- Enable admin email - Emails you whenever a visitor submits a document.
- Enable moderation - Holds new documents for your approval instead of publishing them straight away. This is switched on for new libraries.
Acquisizione contatti
Con il piano Advanced, la raccolta lead chiede ai visitatori i loro dati prima che possano scaricare. I campi qui sotto compaiono dopo l'attivazione. Vedi collecting email addresses before downloads.
- Enable - Turns lead capture on.
- Indirizzo email del destinatario - Where the lead notifications are sent.
- Bypass for logged-in users - Skips the form for anyone signed in to your account.
- Testo dell'intestazione e Testo introduttivo - The wording at the top of the popup.
- First name text, Last name text e Email address text - The labels on the three fields. First name and last name each have a Obbligatorio checkbox.
- Testo del consenso privacy - The wording beside the consent checkbox, which also has a Obbligatorio option. Leave the text blank to hide the checkbox.
- Submit button text, Confirmation message text e Testo del pulsante di download - The wording a visitor sees as they complete the form.
- URL webhook - Sends each lead to another service, such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, a Google Sheet or your CRM.
Display tab
These options control the contents and layout of your library.
- Layout predefinito - Choose Table or Grid. See layout della libreria di documenti.
Tabella
- Colonne - Use the column builder to choose which document data appears, and drag and drop to reorder it. The pencil icon on a column opens its own options, including its heading, width, column type and which devices it appears on. See contenuto della libreria di documenti.

- Contenuto della griglia - Tick the information to show on each card.
- Number of columns - Auto-size, or between one and four columns.
- Document title - Whether clicking the title downloads the file or does nothing.
- Link destination - The same choice for the filename field.
Sorting

- Sort direction - Automatic, ascending or descending.
- Multi-column sorting - Lets visitors sort by two columns at once. See document library sort options.
Download button
- Button behavior - What happens when a visitor clicks the link. Documents download by default.
- Stile - A button, a file type button or a text link.
- Button/link text - The wording on the link, for example Download.
- Icona - Adds a download icon.
- New tab - Opens the download in a new browser tab. See link nella libreria di documenti.
Preview button
- Enable preview? - Shows a preview button for supported file types. Previews are off by default.
- Stile, Button/link text e Icona - How the preview control looks and what it says. See anteprima documento.

- Allow multiple downloads? - Adds a checkbox to each row so visitors can download several documents as one zip file.
- Button text - The wording on the bulk download button.
- Button position - Above the library, below it, or both.
- Select all - Adds a link in the table header which selects every document. See how the multi-download checkboxes work.
Cartelle
- Enable folders - Groups your documents into folders, one per category.
- Sort folders by - Category name, category slug, category order or the number of documents in each category.
- Folder display - Whether folders start open or closed. Choose Custom to name the categories which open, in the Personalizzato field underneath. See cartelle dei documenti.
Search tab
- Search box - Displays a search box above your documents. See searching the document library.
- Posizioni dei filtri - Show the filter dropdowns above the library, inside the column headings, or both. Ticking either one reveals the filter builder, where you add, rename and reorder your filters.
- Multi-select filters - Lets visitors select more than one value from each filter.
- Active filters - Displays the filters a visitor has applied above the library.
- Filter counts - Shows the number of matching documents beside each filter option. See filtri della libreria di documenti.
Branding tab
These options control the branding of your dashboard and of your library website, outside the library itself. The colors of the library are on the Library Design tab.
- Logo - Shown in your dashboard and at the top of your library website.
- Site icon - The small icon in the browser tab. Use a square image, at least 512 by 512 pixels.
- Brand color - The accent color for your dashboard and for the parts of your published pages outside the library, such as the password screen, the page menu and the lead capture form.
- Font - The typeface used on your library website and your embedded library. Choose one of the fonts listed, or choose Custom and name any Google Font in Custom Google Font. See changing the styling of your document library.
Library Design tab
This tab styles the documents themselves. It has three sections, Table, Grid and Folders, and each starts with a Design option set to Default. Switching a section to Custom reveals its detailed options, and each section has a Reset to the default button.
- Tabella - Start from one of seven templates: Default, Minimal, Delicate, Neutral, Dark, Blue and Nature. The custom options cover the borders, the background colors of the header, rows and buttons, and the font color and size for each kind of text. They also cover alternate row or column shading, the corner style, the search box, the filter dropdowns, the checkbox color and the row spacing.
- Griglia - The same seven templates are available. The custom options cover the card, the document image, the category badge, the buttons, the fonts and the borders. They also cover the search box, the filter dropdowns, the checkbox color and the corner style.
- Cartelle - Set the Top-level Folder color and the Sub-level folder color, or replace the icons by pasting SVG code into Closed folder icon e Open folder icon.
Your changes are previewed as you make them. See changing the styling of your document library.
Translations tab
Use this tab to change the text your visitors see, or to add a language which is not one of the six built-in languages. Click Add another language and name the language. There are then six groups of text to work through: Counts and paging, Search and filters, Buttons and downloads, Empty and loading states, Views and sorting, and Rows and selection.
sotto Libraries, tick the libraries which use that language, or tick Also use for any library not listed in another language to make it your fallback. Tick Right-to-left language for languages such as Arabic and Hebrew. See tradurre la tua libreria di documenti per la guida completa.
Advanced tab

- Caching - Stores your library so that it loads faster, with Cache expires after setting how many hours it is kept. The default is 6 hours. Use Clear cache to empty it straight away.
- Limite documenti - The largest number of documents a library will display. The default is 500, and -1 removes the limit. See changing the number of documents in the library.

- No matching documents message - Shown when a search or filter finds nothing. See customizing the no-documents message.
Options set elsewhere
Certain options are set on their own screens instead of the global settings page:
- Your embed code, your library website, your allowed domains and the document submission form are on the Pubblica Raccolta page. See pubblicazione della tua libreria.
- Passwords and file protection are on the Controllo accessi page, on the Advanced plan. See protecting your document library.
- The layout, columns, links and controls of any library you have built are in the Library Builder. See creare una libreria con Library Builder.
