This guide shows you how to add a Document Library Pro library to a MemberClicks website. The right route depends on whether your organization uses MC Pro or MC Trade.
Before you begin: MC Pro is usually for associations and nonprofits whose members are individual people. MC Trade is usually for chambers and trade groups whose members are organizations or businesses. MemberClicks does not offer a free plan, so exact screen wording can vary by site, and our support team will help if your editor looks different.
Copy your embed code
Before you can add the library to MemberClicks, you need the embed code from Document Library Pro. An embed code is the small piece of website code that displays your hosted library on another page.
- Open your Document Library Pro dashboard.
- Open Publish Library.
- Copy the embed code for your library.
- If you have more than one library, open the Libraries screen and choose the library you want to publish.

The first line is the iframe, which displays the document library on your MemberClicks page. The second line is a helper script, which is a small piece of code that lets the library resize itself and open document previews inside the page. The first line alone is enough to display the library.
Adding your library in MC Trade
MC Trade Premium Website includes an Embed Code element that can take both lines of your Document Library Pro embed code. You add it in the MC Trade website editor, then publish the page when the library is ready.
- In the MC Trade admin, go to Communication > Content Management System.
- Select Edit Site to open the drag and drop editor.
- Open the page where the document library should appear.
- In the left sidebar, find the Basic group below the MC Trade elements.
- Drag the Embed Code element onto the page.
- Click the element, then choose Edit Custom HTML.
- Paste both lines of your Document Library Pro embed code into the custom HTML field.
- Click outside the element and check that the document library renders in the editor.
- Select Publish to make the page live for visitors.
MC Trade also has a Media > Document element, but that is for embedding one document at a time. Use the Embed Code element for a searchable document library with filters, columns, previews, and downloads.
Adding your library in MC Pro
MC Pro pages need the library placed inside an Article. MemberClicks documents the article HTML view as the supported way to add embedded content.
- In MemberClicks, go to Website > Articles.
- Open the article where the document library should appear.
- Use the HTML button in the editor toolbar to open the HTML window.
- Paste both lines of your Document Library Pro embed code.
- Save the HTML window and save the article.
- View the live page and check that the library loads.
If the helper script is removed
The iframe line displays the library, and this is the type of embed code MemberClicks documents. The library will still work if the helper script is removed.
Without the helper script, the library uses a fixed height and document previews open in a new tab. If you want the helper script and it does not stay in the article, MemberClicks support can add scripts to a page for you.
What the editor shows you
MemberClicks displays a saved embed as a yellow square in the editor. That is expected. Check the live page to confirm how the library appears to visitors.
If the library does not appear
If the library does not appear, first confirm that you pasted the whole first line, including the closing </iframe> tag. Check the live page rather than relying only on the editor preview. If the embed area crops the library, make the area taller or ask MemberClicks support to add the helper script.
