Your questions, answered
Do I need WordPress to use Document Library Pro?
No. If you’re on WordPress, install it as a plugin. If you’re not, use the cloud version and either use a simple embed code to paste your libraries onto your own website, or use the standalone library site that we provide - no WordPress involved.
How do I import my existing documents?
It’s quick. Drag and drop your files straight into the library, and a document is created for each one automatically. The file name becomes the document title, and details like the file type and size are filled in for you. PDFs even get a featured image made from their first page.
From there, you can use bulk editing to add categories and tags, so everything is neatly organized.
For larger collections, prepare a CSV in the format we provide and import every document at once, complete with all its details and a link to wherever each file is stored, such as OneDrive or Dropbox.
What file types can I add?
Any file type - documents, spreadsheets, slides, images, audio, video, design files and archives. You can also add links to files you host elsewhere, so everything sits in one library.
Can I control who sees my documents?
Yes. Password-protect a whole library, or a specific library. You can publish public and team-only libraries side by side. You can also embed your library inside an existing private website or intranet, so it’s automatically protected by whatever login that site already uses.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. A standalone cloud library can run on your own domain, or on one of ours if you’d rather not set one up.
How many documents can I add?
As many as you like. There’s no limit on the number of documents in a library, and you can create an unlimited number of libraries too.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Your free trial gives you full access to build and publish your document library for 14 days. You won’t be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
