De bibliotheek is gebouwd met toegankelijkheid in gedachten, en we controleren en testen deze regelmatig om verdere verbeteringen te vinden die we kunnen aanbrengen.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"which-standards-do-you-test-against\">Aan welke normen toetsen jullie?<\/h2>\n<p>We zetten ons in om te voldoen aan WCAG 2.1 Level A, de algemeen geaccepteerde minimale norm waaraan software moet voldoen om als toegankelijk te worden beschouwd.<\/p>\n<p>Ons doel is om Level AA te bereiken, het niveau dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siteimprove.com\/glossary\/eu-web-accessibility-directive\/\">de EU vereist<\/a> voor naleving van de EAA en dat ADA-naleving in de VS dekt voor bepaalde bedrijven. We brengen wijzigingen aan om dat te bereiken waar dat realistisch is. In enkele gevallen is dat mogelijk niet zo, bijvoorbeeld als een wijziging een ingrijpende verschuiving in gebruiksgemak zou afdwingen of een kernfunctie zou breken.<\/p>\n<p>Ons proces gebruikt zowel geautomatiseerde als handmatige tests, inclusief controles met populaire ondersteunende technologie zoals schermlezers en zoomtools. We behouden ook een herbruikbare reeks geautomatiseerde toegankelijkheidstests, zodat toekomstige releases toegankelijk blijven.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-about-other-accessibility-laws\">Hoe zit het met andere toegankelijkheidswetten?<\/h2>\n<p>Hoewel we werken aan naleving van W3C-normen, is het niet realistisch dat we toetsen aan elke lokale regel, zoals Section 508 in de VS.<\/p>\n<p>Uiteindelijk is de site-eigenaar verantwoordelijk om ervoor te zorgen dat de bibliotheek en de omliggende website voldoen aan de wettelijke toegankelijkheidseisen in hun regio.
