You set this up visually in the Biblioth\u00e8que Builder when creating or editing a biblioth\u00e8que.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"available-fields\">Champs disponibles<\/h2>\n<p>The fields you can display about each document depend on the layout you choose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mise en page en tableau.<\/strong> ID, titre, contenu, extrait, image, date, modified date, document author, document cat\u00e9gories, document \u00e9tiquettes, t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement count, fichier size, fichier type, fichiername, \u00e9tat and lien.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mise en page en grille.<\/strong> Titre, image, document author, document cat\u00e9gories, t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement count, fichier size, fichier type, fichiername and lien.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/documentlibrary.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/council-document-management-library.jpg\" alt=\"Biblioth\u00e8que de documents contenu shown in colonnes for titre, category, fichier size and modified date\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"choosing-your-fields\">Choisir vos champs<\/h2>\n<p>You choose which fields to display in the Biblioth\u00e8que Builder. The available controls depend on whether the biblioth\u00e8que uses the tableau or grille layout.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"table-layout\">Mise en page en tableau<\/h3>\n<p>Utilisez the colonne builder to add and reorder your tableau colonnes. You can then configure them further:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Champs cliquables.<\/strong> Choisissez which fields are clickable, in addition to the Document lien field, which is always clickable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nombre de colonnes.<\/strong> Select between 1 and 4 colonnes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Titre du document et Nom du fichier.<\/strong> Choisissez whether clicking these t\u00e9l\u00e9chargements the fichier.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"details-of-fields\">D\u00e9tails des champs<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"fields-available-for-both-table-and-grid-layouts\">Champs disponibles pour les deux mises en page<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Titre<\/strong> is the main document titre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Image<\/strong> shows the featured image (the document thumbnail). In the grille, it falls back to a fichier-type icon when no image is set.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Auteur du document<\/strong> shows the name of the document author.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cat\u00e9gories de documents<\/strong> shows the cat\u00e9gories for each document, comma-separated where there is more than one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lien<\/strong> contains a t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement lien and\/or a preview lien.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nom du fichier<\/strong> shows the fichier name as plain text with no lien. It is for information only, so use one of the clickable fields for the actual t\u00e9l\u00e9chargement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"fields-available-for-table-layout-only\">Champs disponibles uniquement pour la mise en page en tableau<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ID<\/strong> shows the document&#8217;s unique internal number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Contenu<\/strong> shows the document contenu, truncated to 15 words by default. You can change this with the <a href=\"https:\/\/documentlibrary.pro\/fr\/docs\/document-library-content\/#content-and-excerpt-length\">Longueur du contenu<\/a> param\u00e8tre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Date<\/strong> shows the date the document was published.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Date de modification<\/strong> shows when the document was last updated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tags de documents<\/strong> shows the \u00e9tiquettes for each document, comma-separated where there is more than one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Statut<\/strong> shows the document&#8217;s \u00e9tat (such as draft, pending or published).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nombre de t\u00e9l\u00e9chargements<\/strong> shows the total number of t\u00e9l\u00e9chargements for each document.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"choosing-your-own-column-headings\">Choisir vos propres en-t\u00eates de colonne<\/h2>\n<p>To rename a tableau colonne en-t\u00eate, click the pencil icon for that colonne in the Biblioth\u00e8que Builder and type your preferred wording. You can change both the text and the capitalization this way.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/documentlibrary.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/document-library-layout-columns-settings.jpg\" alt=\"Choosing and reordering biblioth\u00e8que de documents colonnes in the biblioth\u00e8que settings\"\/><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"removing-a-column-heading\">Supprimer un en-t\u00eate de colonne<\/h4>\n<p>To remove a tableau colonne en-t\u00eate, open the Advanced settings for that colonne in the colonne editor and switch off the Afficher colonne en-t\u00eate toggle. This hides the label while keeping the sort arrows.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"how-to-hide-a-field\">Comment masquer un champ<\/h4>\n<p>To hide a field, remove it from the colonne builder (tableau layout) or untick it (grille layout) in the Biblioth\u00e8que Builder. The width is based on the documents currently shown, so it can shift when you move between pages or apply a filtre. Setting custom widths forces the colonnes to stay the same.<\/p>\n<h2>Longueur du contenu et de l\u2019extrait<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"content-length\">Longueur du contenu<\/h3>\n<p>The contenu length setting controls how much of the contenu colonne is shown, if you have added that colonne to your biblioth\u00e8que. Enter the number of words you want to display. The default is 15 words. To show the full contenu with no trimming, set the value to -1.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"excerpt-length\">Longueur de l'extrait<\/h3>\n<p>The extrait length setting controls how much of the extrait colonne is shown, if you are using it. Enter the number of words to display.
